Feed the highest quality food possible

Quality matters. A nutrient-dense, high-quality food naturally cuts out unnecessary fillers and excess fattening ingredients.

  • More usable nutrients in every bite
  • Better satiety, so they feel full sooner
  • Less total food needed

When their body gets what it actually craves, they don’t need as much to feel satisfied.

Understand simple calorie balance

Weight gain or loss comes down to calories in versus calories out. Start by:

  • Measuring exactly how much you feed each day
  • Weighing your pet weekly, not daily (normal ups and downs happen!)
  • No scale at home? Come use ours! Any size dog or cat is welcome

Stopped gaining? Then you’re likely very close to calorie balance. From there, a small adjustment is often all it takes to create a gentle deficit: about 100–200 calories a day for a medium or large dog, and much less for cats and small dogs.

You can get there by slightly reducing portions, adding a little more activity, or a small combination of both. Small, consistent changes over a few weeks add up to lasting results.

Exercise: the natural game changer

Movement switches on powerful natural processes in the body. Even one short walk a day or a fun indoor game can:

  • Boost metabolism
  • Improve mental health
  • Strengthen joints and muscles
  • Support fat loss
  • Support overall long-term health

Getting the blood flowing and the heart pumping kick-starts systems that are already beautifully designed to keep them strong and vibrant.
